Riding!

Yeah, So I have been missing in action.

Basically I went on a holiday. Then in the last few days it’s been raining crazy rain. The trails are copping it but there is really no point in fixing the untill these storms pass.

Here is a bit of what’s been happening before the rain set in.

So Oli, Hooper and a few others sent the creek gap for the first time since it’s been done. That was pretty cool. It also claimed it’s first victim courtesy of some hidden glass – bummer.

After that, Al got married.

After that he went to Japan, things got a little bit fucked up there.

A little before that he had his bucks. He nearly made it through the whole thing. Nearly.

Our favorite Canadian left for home. Next time Steve, next time!

Hooper bought a BMX – I think he still has his big bike. I hope he wasn’t riding the 20inch at inter-schools anyway. It’s a Mutiny something something…..

Speaking of inter-schools. Colonel Sanders also went. He crashed. Apparently everybody crashed. I guess that’s down-ill for ya.

Just some really cool riding has been going on for no reason. Friday’s are almost running out for Summer! Don’t waste ‘em!

Ro-Batt!

He is Greg.

The big kid

Musgrove, Hooper and Fox demonstrate the new sport of syncronised trail riding.

And although I don’t have a photo – Duncan kept on digging.

A few other nick nacks . . . . .

Al found this pretty rad vidoe doco on the Soledad Sands BMX scene.

Mutiny dropped this confirming they are still pumping out the best edits of late:

The surf has been pretty epic around OZ lately (See WA cyclone swell below) – with the exception of Sydney wich is a pretty nasty place in general.

Fox uses power tools in his man cave after 8 Caronas to get firewood or the front yard party fire. Great Human!

Mac is still killing it. I did a whip. Rhi got cold at the light house. The end.

Digging some new lines this weekend. I am out with a broken arm for 6 weeks so I took down the camera for a test run. Not much riding in here but trails are starting to come together and the camera went great!

SLAM!

I am now officially the biggest menace in mountain biking. After this weekends ride I now have the dubious honor of having broken 3 frames in 5 months. I must be a weapon!

I am using up all my personal will power not to name and shame the manufacturer right now. But the time is coming.

I challenge anyone to beat my total. Come on!!!!!

I’ll put a full recap of this weekends ride (which was awesome) on the rides page soon, but I thought I’d post this up today. This is my ear post Wollongong DH session.

What did I learn? Friends shouldn’t let friends ride downhill without full-face helmets.

All good now though, a little medical glue, a tetenous shot and some antibiotics and I’ll be back out there next weekend. Take that danger!
